Our Animals
Lembrança, the cow, was one of the first animals on the farm, along with her calf Lola. With a balanced diet, she was able to produce enough milk to feed Lola. Today, Lembrança, Lola, and the new calf, Lupen, are healthy and happy animals.
The farm animals
The donkey family began with four females rescued from the streets of Porto Inglês—Roxenne, Telma, Camilla, and Bianchina—who found a safe and caring home at Villa Maris. Later, Romeu, the only male, joined the group, and since then Minerva and Maia were born, bringing even more life and joy to the farm.
Sisal, the horse
Sisal was for a long time the only horse on the island of Maio. He arrived at Villa Maris in a weakened state, after days without food, and soon after faced complications. Thanks to volunteer veterinarians and the dedicated care of the team, he recovered. Today, Sisal is a symbol of resilience and love for animals, admired by everyone who visits the farm.
